Wet process for producing antimony trioxide
After communicating with our customers, we Anyutian finally determined the plan to produce antimony trioxide by wet process according to the specific situation of the customers. The production process is as follows:
The antimony ore powder containing 55.44% antimony is leached with ferric chloride and hydrochloric acid solution, with an excess of ferric chloride of 10% to 30%, and the leaching solution is kept acidic to prevent the hydrolysis of antimony trichloride. Under mechanical stirring, chlorine is introduced for leaching for 6 hours and filtered. The filtered leaching solution is reduced with antimony powder at room temperature and stirring to remove the interference of Fe3+ and Sb5+. The filtered filtrate is then hydrolyzed with water. After the hydrolysis is completed at room temperature, it is filtered, and the filter cake is re-slurried and neutralized with ammonia water. The pH is controlled to be 7-8. When the pH value is stable at 8, the neutralization reaction is completed, and the product is obtained by filtering and drying the filter cake.
Operation method: Take the antimony sulfide ore containing Sb 55.44% and less than 60 mesh, add it into the acid-resistant leaching barrel, the leachate composition is HCl 1.0mol/L, Fe2+ 70g/L (add FeCl2), Sb3+ 4.2 g/L, leachate: solid = 3:1, steam heating to 80℃, under mechanical stirring, introduce chlorine gas for 6h. Filter and purify to obtain the Sb-containing leachate, hydrolyze at room temperature, wash the antimony oxychloride with clean water for many times, neutralize with ammonia water for 30min, pH=8~9, wash again to pH=7, filter and dry, and obtain antimony white powder 4, which contains Sb2O3 99.80%, particle size below 325 mesh, and whiteness 97.
