Application of rotary furnace in lead smelting process

Release time:2024-12-18 11:18 Views:

Before large-scale application, crude lead must be refined. If you need a furnace to smelt lead, there are many types, including rotary furnace, rectangular furnace, etc.

The purpose of refining: First, remove impurities. Among them, lead containing the above impurities will reduce the strength of the material, reduce the toughness of the material, and reduce the corrosion resistance of the material. Using such crude lead to make white lead and red lead cannot obtain purity, which greatly reduces the utilization rate of lead. Therefore, in order to improve the purity of lead, it is necessary to purify it. Second, reuse valuable metal resources, especially silver. During the electrolysis process, precious metals such as gold and silver will accumulate in the anode sludge during the electrolysis process.

The main raw material for lead smelting is lead sulfide concentrate, and a few are block ores. At present, pyrometallurgy is mainly used at home and abroad, while hydrometallurgy of lead is mainly pyrometallurgy, and research on hydrometallurgy of lead is still in the exploratory stage. At present, the domestic "sintering-roasting-ironmaking" process is adopted, and the product yield is about 85-90%; the second is the reaction melting method, and its equipment can be divided into furnace type, short kiln, electric furnace and eddy current furnace, etc., but it is less used in actual application. my country currently mainly adopts smelting methods such as "fire smelting" and "electrolytic refining".

For difficult-to-select lead-zinc sulfide ores, a closed blast furnace smelting process is generally adopted to achieve the simultaneous output of lead, zinc and lead during the smelting process. In view of the problem of difficult separation of oxidized lead-zinc mixed ore, a wet zinc smelting process for oxidized lead-zinc mixed ore suitable for my country's national conditions was proposed based on previous research. In addition, zinc oxide can also be obtained by roasting in a rotary furnace.
