Equipment structure of rotary anode copper smelting furnace

Release time:2024-07-19 11:43 Views:

The rotary anode furnace is a type of fire refining furnace relative to the fixed anode furnace. Compared with the reverberatory furnace, the two have the same process principle, but the structure and operation method are completely different. The known specifications are as high as 800t/furnace and 250t/furnace.

The rotary anode furnace is similar to the cylindrical furnace and consists of the following parts: furnace body, burner, combustion chamber, transmission mechanism, furnace body support structure, and furnace body drive system. The furnace mouth (also called the charging port) of the rotary anode furnace is located in the center of the furnace body, with a spare furnace mouth cover and furnace mouth opening and closing device. The furnace mouth opening and closing device is divided into hydraulic and pneumatic types. The furnace mouth cover is connected to the furnace mouth opening and closing device. The furnace mouth is equipped with four cooling water jackets. Two redox air inlets are opened on both sides of the cylinder, at an angle of about 45 degrees to the furnace mouth. The burner and the combustion chamber are installed at both ends of the cylinder respectively. The cylinder is welded from thick boiler steel plates. Refractory materials are built inside the cylinder.

The burner is fixed on the opposite end cover of the smoke outlet, and the combustion device and the combustion gas pipe are connected to the burner. The burner can be tilted together with the furnace body. The furnace body support device consists of four supporting wheels, and the tugs are all equipped with double-test tugs with transmission belt rims, and the other end is a smooth tug.

The rotary furnace is the main equipment for pyrometallurgical refining. Its key parts are the redox tuyere, copper outlet, charging port, and burner, which have strict requirements on the selection of refractory materials. The copper outlet is a special-shaped magnesia-chrome brick, and the tuyere is made of special fused magnesia-chrome bricks with high chromium trioxide content to enhance the high temperature resistance, anti-scouring and anti-corrosion effects. The combustion chamber is an auxiliary equipment of the rotary furnace. It does not contain molten copper, but only uses dilution wind to continue to burn the flue gas from the rotary refining furnace. Although the flue gas temperature is 1200 degrees, it does not play a scouring role. The refractory materials used in the refractory chamber of the rotary anode copper smelting furnace are clay bricks, high-alumina bricks and unshaped refractory materials.
