Slag rate is one of the key indicators of the level of copper smelting in a tilting copper melting furnace. A high slag rate can easily lead to a reduction in the production of the tilting furnace, occupy the intermediate material handling capacity of the smelting converter, and directly affect the production indicators of the two processes. In order to avoid slag erosion at the same position of the slag line and extend the oxidation and impurity removal efficiency of the tilting furnace, a new method of "automatic tilting of the furnace body during oxidation period" of the tilting furnace was tested and studied, which reduced the erosion of the slag line by the slag.
Through analysis and research, it was found that the main reasons for the high oxidation slag rate are unbalanced material ratios, increased copper content in slag caused by overoxidation, and imperfect slag yard management. A special management system was formulated, and a special person was appointed to be responsible for the management of the miscellaneous copper yard, to strictly control the raw materials entering the factory, to avoid mixing with other materials besides oxidation slag, and to eliminate the phenomenon of bottom copper mixing into the slag car from the source; to address the uneven slag discharge phenomenon, the team leader or experienced employees can be arranged to operate, strengthen the refined management of the miscellaneous copper yard ingredients, and arrange special personnel to scientifically and reasonably mix the ingredients according to the composition of different raw materials every day, to ensure the accuracy of material ratios and solvent addition and the balance of the ingredients; optimize and adjust the operating methods that lead to increased copper content in the slag, and organize employees to carry out corresponding job skills training to improve employees' sense of responsibility and operational level.
Multiple operation methods are used to reduce the slag rate of a tilting copper melting furnace.
